The Kids Cancer Project
Delhi ‘O’ Delhi has been serving quality Indian cuisine in Newtown for over 17 years. Our signature cooking style is a modern interpretation of India - a perfect balance of both traditional and contemporary techniques while remaining true to our humble roots.
We are proud supporters of the The Kids’ Cancer Project - an independent national charity supporting childhood cancer research. Since 1993, thanks to strong community support, they have been able to contribute tens of millions of dollars to scientific studies to help children with many types of cancer.
Why I am doing this -
“This cause is deeply personal to me, as I lost my elder brother in India to stage four cancer at the age of 53. He had only seven months to live since he was diagnosed. Witnessing the immense challenges at Tata memorial cancer centre Mumbai, faced by adults alone was a confronting experience, but seeing the innocent children bravely battling this dreadful disease was truly heart-wrenching. Motivated by this experience, on my return from India I, set out on a mission to make a difference and help these young warriors in their fight against cancer” - Javed Khan, founder of Delhi ‘O’ Delhi.
Since February 2021, we have contributed over $19,100 to childhood cancer research. All of our events have been a full house at Delhi O Delhi Newtown, and we have continued to donate $2 from every korma meal sold since our involvement with The Kid’s Cancer Project.
Every dollar counts and helps give kids with cancer the opportunity to survive and thrive! If you believe science is the solution - join us. By working together, we will make a difference to help kids with cancer. Donate today!
